About Me
With over five years of professional marketing experience, I am proficient in social media platforms, email marketing software and industry research. I have provided marketing expertise and developed for numerous successful social media and SEO marketing campaigns for companies in a variety of industries, including hospitality, cosmetics, healthcare, and entertainment.
Before graduating with a bachelor's degree in Integrative Public Relations & Advertising from the University of South Florida, I completed a Public Relations internship at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts, where I created press releases and media pitches for the different shows the Arsht Center hosts and attended interviews at local news outlets such as NBC 6 and Univision.
After graduating, I delivered successful PPC campaigns for TriMark Press, an independent book publisher in Deerfield Beach, Florida. I created effective organic and PPC ad and email campaigns for the publisher and their authors, with a 73% ROI in author retention and a 62% increase in book sales. I understand the importance of tailoring content to specific audiences on different digital channels, and I am accustomed to working in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines and collaborate with others.
I am currently the Programming Manager for Dream Convention, one of the largest Black owned gaming and anime conventions in the United States, currently hosted in Houston. Before managing attendee and talent panels, after parties, and cosplay events, I previously worked as a Marketing Coordinator for Dream Con for two years (2022 and 2023). During that time, I helped create innovative campaigns to attract new attendees, and develop a consistent brand throughout all their social media platforms.
What inspires me to continue working in this field is the opportunity to work with diverse clients and appeal to target audiences, and being able to help clients and businesses share their stories.
My personal interests: reading & writing, geek culture, USF athletics and anything purple.
